Situated at an elevation of 2500 meters, Fagu is a serene snow-clad hamlet, located around 45 minutes drive from Shimla. It is known for its apple plantations, sowing fields and the snow-covered Himalayas in the backdrop. Since it is secluded, Fagu is a honeymooner’s heaven. It also popular amongst trekkers and naturalists.
It is believed that Fagu has derived its name from the word ‘fog’. It remains covered in fog for almost 9 months a year. The whole place is enveloped by lush green pine and cedar trees and has a dreamy landscape. A number of apple trees are also located here which are adorned with rich red apples. Potato Fields are also common to spot. You can also sight animals such as snow leopards, yaks and ponies that are inhabitants of Fagu.

By Air
The nearest airport to reach Fagu is at Jubbar-Hatti which is located at a distance of 45 km. Rental cars and cans are easily available here.
By Train
The nearest railway Station to reach Fagu is the Kalka Railway Station at Shimla which is located at a distance of 22 km. From this railway station rental cars are easily available. Kalka Shimla toy train is also a good option to enjoy the journey.
By Road
The distance between Delhi and Fagu is around 350 km which can be easily covered by hiring a car or taking your own car. You can even take a bus from Delhi to reach Shimla. From Shimla, Fagu is located at a mere distance of 18 km that can be covered by hailing a taxi.
